Crescent City Craft Market a rousing success!

We kicked off the holiday shopping season yesterday with a special edition of the Crescent City Craft Market. And what a rousing success it was! Thanks to a fab feature in The Gambit and an interview on WWLTV's morning show with members Jeannie of Jeremy the Alien Designs and Mallory of dismantled designs (yep, me!), we had a huge turnout despite the nasty weather. There were customers showing up to shop at noon, despite the fact the market didn't start until 2pm!

Mark your calendars in case you missed yesterday's event, because due to public demand, we've decided to schedule an additional last minute Crescent City Craft Market date before the holidays. We're back to the regular Second Sunday of the month, which will be Sunday, December 9th from 2pm-6pm. Also, don't forget to check us out on Thursday, December 20th from 6pm-10pm for some super last minute shopping. As usual, both events takes place at The Big Top (1638 Clio Street, near Lee Circle, between St. Charles Avenue and Carondelet Street) and admission is free and there is plenty of free parking across the street in the Fleet Tire lot. Both events will have some different guest vendors, so each market is bound to be interesting!

Our friends at Recycle for the Arts also have a great event happening in a few weeks: it's their annual Oddities Bazaar! There will be lots of holidaze shopping, an oddaments sale, a singing dog named PICKLE, stilt walkers, belly dancers, a doll, toy & mask exhibit & a silent auction!! Please help them spread the word - it takes place on December 8th, from 1pm-5pm at The Green Project ( 2831 Marais Street in the Marigny). All proceeds benefit R4A!

We also plan to resume the regular monthly (Second Sunday of the month) Crescent City Craft Market after the holidays are over, probably in February & just in time for Valentine's Day!
